A graduate student of the Faculty of History, Politology and International Relations was elected to the working group of the European Commission

Vitaly Suprun, a graduate student of the Faculty of History, Politology and International Relations of  Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, and at the same time a visiting graduate student of the University of Edinburgh (Scotland, UK), was elected to the working group of the European Commission.

In 2023, the European Commission planned the creation of five informal working groups (they should include representatives of the scientific and diplomatic communities), which will be tasked with developing potential elements of a future European structure for science diplomacy.

On October 6, 2023, a call for expressions of interest to participate in these working groups was announced. 575 scientists and diplomats expressed their desire to participate in the competition. Based on the results summarized in December 2023 by the Directorate General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission, 130 people were selected from among the applicants.

The working group, which includes Vitaliy Suprun, will develop recommendations on the definition, principles and added value of European scientific diplomacy.

We sincerely congratulate our graduate student and wish him fruitful work!
