1998 – 2005 – Vice-Rector on Scientific and Pedagogical Work of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.2002 – awarded the badge “Excellence in Education of Ukraine”.

2009 – 2012 – Professor of the Departments of Historiography and Source Studies, Political Science of the Institute of History and Political Science, Associate Professor of the Department of Constitutional, Administrative and International Law of the Law Institute of the University.

Research interests: the theoretical and practical problems of the exercise of power by people in certain constitutional and other forms of direct democracy in Ukraine and foreign countries; the problems of the theory and practice of constitutionalism and state building, the latest legislative sphere, comparative law; legal political science; geopolitics, political history of Ukraine and special branches of historical knowledge.

Derevianko, Serhii is the author and co-author of more than 150 scientific and educational works on political science, constitutional law, political history of Ukraine, historiography and source studies, some of which are published abroad.

Mykola Antonovych Genyk

1997 –  Ph.D. defence at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University. Thesis title: “The Ukrainian issue in programs and activities of Polish political parties (1920-1926).”

Professional activity

1998 – awarded Ph.D. degree in historical sciences  by the decision of Higher Attestation Commission of 21 May 1998.

2003   – awarded academic title of Associate Professor of the Department of Political Sciences by the decision of Attestation Board of the MES of Ukraine of 19 July 2003.

Since 2012 – a supervisor of the research project:  “Peace Process of Interethnic Conflict: Methodology and Implementation” (state registration number 0113U000187).

2013  – thesis adviser of V.Shibel’s Ph.D. thesis: “Peace Process as institutionalization of the Israeli-Palestinian interethnic conflict (1890-2001).” Since 2013 – a member of the editorial board of scientific periodical “Eurasia: Statum et Legem.”

2014 – awarded the Juliusz Bardach Prize of the Institute of The Grand Duchy of Lithuania (Kaunas) for the best monograph on history of Baltic-Black Sea region.

2015 – an international observer in presidential elections in Poland.
